Objective of the event:
The primary goal of this event was to challenge participants' problem-solving skills and programming abilities in C, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Java, Python languages, while also encouraging teamwork and collaboration.s
Outcome of the event:
Participants will enhance their programming skills in C, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Java, Python languages, improve their problem-solving abilities, and develop teamwork and collaboration skills amongst the group
The technical event "Escape the Matrix" was organized by CESA & CSI on February 9th, 2024. Teams from various departments participated in the event, demonstrating their enthusiasm for problem-solving and programming challenges.
"Escape the Matrix" event comprised three challenging rounds designed to test participants' skills and knowledge in C, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Java, Python programming languages. In Level 1, participants had to identify programming words based on blanks and hints provided. Successful attempts were followed by running the corresponding program.
This round aimed to evaluate participant’s foundational programming skills and their ability to navigate through algorithmic problems. The top-performing teams from this round advanced to the next stage.
In Level 2, there were a total of 14 qualifying teams. They were tasked with finding hidden words on a web page. This round encouraged participants to utilize their web-browsing skills while integrating them with programming knowledge. Following intense competition, five teams emerged victorious, earning their places in the final round.
The final round of "Escape the Matrix" brought together the five top-performing teams to compete in a high-stakes coding showdown. Teams were required to identify bugs within provided code snippets and debug them accordingly. This round tested participant’s ability to analyze code and identify errors, a crucial skill in software development. After an exhilarating display of skill and teamwork, two teams emerged as the ultimate winners of the event. First Winner Prize was of ₹1000 and Second Winner Prize was of ₹500.The total prize pool for the event amounted to ₹1500.
